The cork box is a modular item, which we can always transform at our will/need. We can use it in three different positions and adapt it to three possible environments. It can work as a chair on one its sides, with a colour, chair of the other side, with another colour and as a coffee table. The two blocks, which are part of the same item, provide support to the different positions: they may be efficient in the chair as an extension of itself, and work as a ‘chaise long’ as well as a coffee table. When we use it as a coffee table, the two available blocks are useful for taking a seat.
The raw coating material identifies this item. The cork, which is used as the outside layer/coating, identifies the item and as it is similar to a box, the authors named it “cork box.”
